3 P.M. Saturday, 9/19

Peninsula A meeting room

Polish up your classical mythology while at the same time sampling the mythology of the emerging millennium. What do the X-Files, science fiction, and the tabloids take from the fringe beliefs and conspiracy theories disseminated over the Internet? How are traditional beliefs reflected in the paranoia, conspiracies, and weird sciences of the www? What is fiction? Are science, mythology, and religion things our species of primates does with consciousness?
